Ghost Story Challenge

It’s coming around to that time of year again.
Is there any appetite for the annual Christmas Ghost Story Challenge this year? The best response I have had in recent times was the Halloween Challenge from 2009, where the hook was to write a ghost or horror story to a maximum of 500 words, based upon the title of, or a line from a song.
Any takers this year? I shall try and write something though as of this moment, I don’t have an idea of any sort, with or without a song lyric or title to inspire me.
But that’s part of the challenge really, isn’t it.
So: 500 words of awesome spookiness, based upon a song lyric or title by Christmas Eve. Go on: you know you want to. More importantly, the presence in the shadows wants you to…
