So tomorrow I don't have to get up to go to work, I can sleep in a little later than usual and then pop out to the post office and pick up the package that awaits. Back for some brekky, and then I have to do some work.

Yes, gentle reader, your correspondent is working from home tomorrow. I have a manual update to edit and proof read. It is the sort of job that requires no disruption from ringing phones, well-meaning colleagues or insane ministers. The downside is that as I am working from home, I have to do what I say I'm going to do, and as we want to publish the manual in a month or so, I can't just pretend that I've done the work.

Still, it is freezing hard outside as I type, and I shall be able to stay snug in beddy-byes for at least an hour later than I normally would during the week. I reckon that if I grit my teeth, I can get the job done in about four hours which leaves me the rest of the day to myself. It will be an interesting exercise in self-discipline.

I confess that I normally dislike working from home, but on the five or six occasions I've sat down to do this particular task in the office, I have been side tracked and I am now well behind schedule with the damned thing.

Wish me luck, and don't expect me to answer my phone if it rings (though I expect that e-mails are like to be answered..).

Okay - you drop in lines about ministers ALL the time. What exactly is it you do?
