Question of the day

Is the movie Mirrormask best enjoyed with a cup of coffee or an armful of your Class A of choice?

We watched it on DVD on Sunday, courtesy [livejournal.com profile] chomper99 and [livejournal.com profile] caffeine_fairy. I had the coffee, Furtle read a book (though the chicken made her laugh) and [livejournal.com profile] colonel_maxim ate a fry-up which is as close to the drugs as we got.

I'm glad I watched it; I doubt I shall be watching it again, though.

I think it's a film that is much better on the visuals than the plot, but it's one that I enjoyed, and could (and will) watch again.
Rather like Labyrinth and Dark Crystal (which I conveniently got in a boxed set with MMask) - this is quality entertainment for all the family.

Then again, I'm big fan of McKean's work, so I may be a little biased.
