A couple of days ago [livejournal.com profile] kneeshooter opined that he had somehow entered a parallel dimension on account of the fact his train turned up and then arrived on time for the first time in recorded history.

Simon, I think it was more a temporal transfer; you got the benefit and today I got the rebound. One of the good things about living in Sunny Chilly Clapham, is that the journey to work generally takes but ten minutes, station-to-station (was that Bowie?).

However, today I managed to listen to every track but Feel The Benefit on Deceptive Bends before arriving at my desk. This is normally a three track journey, not the majority of an album.

And to add insult to injury the tannoy at the station would give its little info-jingle from time to time, only to be followed by the deathly silence of an announcer not announcing.

Ah, early Winter commuting in London.
