Well, my week away is nearly over. I seem to have got the sister's PC reacquainted with the intarweb, hence this post.

Despite the shenanigans I had to go through to get this far, I now appear to be connected at a (reported) speed of 2.3Mbps. It is to weep; I could do so much with speeds like that at home where already I am finding 512k clunky.

In getting this up and running again, I have inadvertantly buggered my gmail access with some cookie filter set up. I have no idea what I've done, but I really can't be bothered to sort it out. I doubt that me tinkering with zone alarm settings would be overly beneficial. Not to mention that I don't know the password.

The week has been spent in deepest, darkest Wales in a caravan with mother, the nephew, seven-year old niece and her six-year old cousin. Whilst being far from fraught, it was not entirely tranquil. I am looking forward now to coming back to London and work, for a much needed rest. Sleeping in a proper bed rather than on a caravan couch will be nice, too.

A proper update upon my return to the Smoke tomorrow, if I can be bothered.
