Didn't Last Long
Late afternoon the weather finally broke and we had a marvellous thunderstorm, complete with proper thunder, lightning and rain: good cool, heavy and prolonged rain in big juicy splodges that splat happily on there pavement.
For a time it went almost as dark as dusk, the cloud cover was so dense and the temperature and humidity fell through the floor. It was wonderful. Now, however, it is back to being too warm and tacky. All the windows are open and the fan is blowing merrily across the bedroom. It will be another difficult night's sleeping. Oh well...
