I have just shelled out £460 reservation fee to hold the new flat and take it off the market while then paper work is filled out, stamped and filed.

The money will go toward the deposit and/or first month's rent, so it's not additional expenditure, but I still feel a little light headed...

Is the flat still in Whetstone? Remember, we do have those empty cardboard boxes for you. And no, having helped drag the 94-kilo widescreen TV up the stairs, I don't think my back will stand the reverse journey, let alone up the stairs of the new flat.....

So you'll be able to move a lot of your stuff in small quick journeys a little at a time, and will only need friends and transport for the bulky items. Ideal. Wish I could be there to lend a hand.
