One for the back garden...

Blackpool Council are selling Thunderbird 3!

If you have at least ten grand to spare and room for a 45 foot model in your garden, this is for you!

Fantastic!

Nope Sorry - That 'sculpture' was built to promote the lousey movie a few years back, and was unveiled in Trafalgar Square.

Ahhhhhh!

That explains it.
I was in Blackpool a few months ago and saw it.
And immediately said "but those bits are wrong..."

To be fair, it's less of a change than between the original TV Enterprise 1701 and the Movie Enterprise 1701.

But weren't those different 1701's (I forget the letters, TOS was A, films were...? )

These are meant to be the same TBs aren't they??

In ST Movies 1-3 it was the NCC 1701 from the TV but refitted by Masda. That was destroyed in #3 when they snaffled the Klingon Bird of Prey which they used until the end of #4 they got the NCC 1701-A. They kept that until they switched crews to ST:TNG who mangled the NCC 1701-D in their first outing and then got and nerarly mangled the NCC 1701-E.
