Chores
We have completed the weekend chores: hoovering, scrubbing: that sort of thing.
I have indulged in my least favourite activity short of sticking red hot pins into my eyes; I have been trying to cancel account6s that I thought had been cancelled and trying to come off mailing lists etc.. I have agreed with Amex that the 4p they owe me and which prevents them from closing my account, can go to Great Ormond St hospital. Such generosity. I agreed the same thing 6 months ago, maybe it will stick this time. Having cancelled my Barclaycard around the same time, I have emailed them asking that I be taken off their mailing list, especially since I no longer live at the address they are using and it is only a matter of months before the mail forwarding ceases.
The technological age makes it no easier to get off these bloody corporate lists, though getting on them is a cinch. Really, I just wish the corporate world would go away and leave me alone. I have no interest in it beyond such interaction I must have.
Oh well, it is done for now. Doubtless I shall have to do it all again at some point. For the remainder of the weekend though, the world is our lobster.
