30 Years...

Today I will be mainly 14.

That time warp factor is operatring again. I first noticed it next Sunday when the timing for the entire day slipped in and out of synch with the rest of the world.

It's back.

This morning, VH1 or one of the other telly music channels (I wasn't paying attention) was playing T-Rex. That was followed up with Wings, Slade and the Sweet (shudder). I left before there the first sign of Mud turned up.

Anyway, I zombied through the Tube journey in as is my wont, only to be faced at Victoria, by 1973 again.

A girl, who could have been any age between 15 and 22 walked by wearing platforms, flares, an Afghan coat and a head band. My first thought was that I must be late for school.

So far in the office 2003 seems to be taking hold again.

But I am wary.

Watch out. There's a Humphrey About.

Well, the campaign ran for a couple or three years, so you may remember them from a little later.

Undoubted prodigy that you are. ;-)

So do I - the red and white straw sneaking across the screen, with some primeval chant in the background ...

I seem to remember I even had the teeshirt, carefully collected by stealing milk bottle tops and blaming it on bluetits.

What about a sibilant and threatening we are out to steal your heat? I can remember the slogan, but not who/what delivered it.
And Mr R Stilgoe had a campaign about being able to find your thingies in the dark. 'Thingies' in this case being stopcock and electricity mains switch.

I vaguely recall it being to do with double glazing or insulation. Or may be not.

More research is called for, me thinks...
