Thought provoking

Last night when I went to bed, Ms Furtle was already a) asleep and b) hogging the duvet1.

Now, when I actually got into bed she rolled over and hugged me before declaiming expansively, "I'm so glad it's you." While I was mulling to myself precisely who else it might be, she added "I do love you. Even though you have brown sandwiches".

I pondered this wisdom for some little while before I was distracted by the sounds of contented sleep.

1Which is so unremarkable an event that I have been forced to add a footnote to make it note worthy.

It's always nice to know one is loved despite one's brown sandwiches.

I'd ask La Furtle herself but I'm not quite sure I want to know what a brown sandwich is.

During these pronouncements, did the state of (a) or (b) change?

Not appreciably, no...
