Bouncy Castle

Ah, just in to the office a bit late having stopped off at the quack's for the regular bimonthly tyre change and windscreen wash.

For the 12th week in a row the old Beep* is operating within normal parameters, Captain. At 139/87 it is on the high side of normal, but still normal. And given that the weather outside is hotter than Kylie's bum, it is probably higher than it would otherwise be; apparently hot weather contributes to hypertension. Presumably it's all those little corpuscles trying to get to the surface to acquire a suntan.

Now that he's happy that we are making progress on that front, he has decided that we should tackle the smoking. Although at the moment that seems to consist of me going away to think about it for a month (presumably not over a cigarette or two), before seeing him again.

Of course, I have tried giving up smoking before. When I try that, I normally go into seclusion for a few days, and my evil twin brother covers my day-to-day routine.

Congratulations! You are doing much better than me with the old beep :) WELL DONE! Do you take any thing for it? ( and don't say a fiver and it's yours)I'm asking because I was given Amplodomine last week but I have taken myself off it as it did not feel good in my chest not one bit and so I am sticking with my trusty Atenolol. 139/87 is fantastic; I wish I could get mine down. How are you doing it?

Sorry, if I'm being nosey just bleep me out!

Quitting smoking is a pain in the arse. I tried it once and didn't like it as I turned into a hyper snappy git.

It is all entirely an excuse for garlic and red wine, isn't it?

On a serious level, I have a book which outlines what foods are good for various ailments, and I know that blood pressure is one of those things that it discusses. Do you want me to look at it for you?

Great news about the blood pressure. I'm the last person anyone should look to for advice about quitting smoking, but last time I saw my doc she told me about this new drug they have that was developed as an anti-depressant but turned out to decrease the desire to smoke, so maybe you could ask about that if your doc doesn't mention it.

This worked for Steve Eason, who used to smoke 40 a day...

Just a present from Ireland, heh.
