Now this is what I'm talkin' about!

These have to be an absolute must for those with no clear desire to have sex with anything breathing, and far too much money to spend...

Lookee here: Park Sabers!. Yes, I know, but it's an American site, hence the spelling.

And despite my comments, I would be tempted. Oh, but the expense....

So maybe not.

Madness from Europe!

This rather marvellous report in the Times caught my eye. Someone, somewhere has more time on their hands than even me.

The European Union wishes to redefine the concept of an 'island.'

As far as I am aware, an island has always been a piece of land surrounded by water. The size is pretty much irrelevant, as is the amount of water, within reason. All quite simple.

I suppose it is the idea of 'reasonable' that has crippled the EU here.

Reports yesterday said that Skye, Bute, Rum, and Muck would lost island status under legislative proposals that would set four conditions — that the land must have more than 50 permanent residents, must not be connected to the mainland by a permanent structure, must be more than a kilometre from the mainland, and must not contain the capital of an EU state.

The report goes on to say that Skye and Bute would cease to be islands under this legilation. So, I fancy would the islands of Great Britain and Ireland.

Marvellous.
