I haven't quite got used to the fact that I don't have to go in to work tomorrow. I mean it's great and all, but I still haven't shaken the get up and catch the tube mentality. I doubt it will sink in properly until tomorrow.

Tomorrow I think I shall start writing. I need to do something with my new found leisure, but at the same time I need to cut down on my expenditure - so that will kill two birds with one stone. I'm not going to predict precisely how much I can get done since [livejournal.com profile] boroshan is in town until at least Thursday, so not all my time will be my own. Nonetheless...

Despite the need to cut expenditure, I also need to take my video for repair. It died a while back but I've been using my portable telly with its own built in VCR, but at the weekend [livejournal.com profile] wallabok delivered a much bigger Panasonic, so I need to get the video fixed so I can use the gazillion or so videos I have collected over the years. Happily there is nothing I want to record at the moment so there's no hurry, but nonetheless.

I expect that updates over the next few days will be brief and comparatively boring. Most of the stuff that I find newsworthy - and usually even that is in need of gross exaggeration to be worth posting - does not happen within these four walls. Of course, the fact that I need to start the Spring Offensive on the kitchen does mean that there is a potential vein of surreal reportage to be had from that quarter.

We shall see.

Monday

There's a lot to be said for this staying away from work malarkey. Up late on a Sunday, stay in bed late-ish. Watch a bit of telly, listen to some music, surf the intarweb - it's like being in the office without the hassle.

I have just written three pages of a character sheet and have decided to take a short break from writing, by...er writing.

Must go again, [livejournal.com profile] boroshan has turned up out of the blue. He was supposed to phone me, but cleverly left his mobile charger in the North East.

Later, chaps.
