Acid

I am awake at my PC at 3.16am, despite being very tired and not a little sleepy, with the sort of indigestion that only a truly large pizza can deliver. One more Remegel, I think.

That is all.

Bleary

It’s hot and stuffy in here and I am bored. I am not sure that the air conditioning is working properly. It’s making me sleepy (last night’s wakeful half hour doubtless didn’t help).

I have been looking with not a little envy at some of the hi fi systems out there. I want a new one – or rather I am increasingly of the opinion that I need a new one since my CD player is becoming ever more temperamental (journals passim).

Bizarrely, it is exactly a week ago since I was sitting here tired and bored talking about pretty much the same thing. Maybe it’s a Tuesday thing?

No quiz tonight. I have only been about twice this season and there’re only a couple of games left before we hit the cup competition. I am specifically not going tonight because the game will be in the Triple Crown in Richmond. It’s a lovely pub, but just too far away for me to feel happy about trailing out there after work and then making my way back to Whetstone late on a school night. More generally, I really don’t enjoy the quizzes much these days; the company is as excellent as ever, but the actually nitty-gritty of the game has lost my interest. Whatever counts as a quiz question clearly doesn’t keep up with my areas of interest.

On Thursday, there is a friendly table quiz back at our home venue. That will be a more standard fare pub-quiz and therefore more enjoyable. Add to that the fact that [livejournal.com profile] ellefurtle and [livejournal.com profile] colonel_maxim will be along and it should be a hoot – especially in the mocking the Question Master.

Tonight there is a short pub meet of people involved in the online Gridiron game I mentioned ages ago. It should be finished by eight pm as people have to get back to Bristol and that suits me. I can be home for nine or just after, watch CSI and Life on Mars and then collapse into bed. Fully awake by then, no doubt!
