The week draineth away and my concerns therewith...

I shall be glad when the next hour has gone and I can go with it. I have had a busy but frustrating day with numerous pieces of briefing diverting me from other tasks. I still haven’t had the chance to begin my draft, which will now be something to play with on Monday. It doesn’t help that the entire team of economists has disappeared en masse for two days and my boss is on leave for the same period. That leaves Yours truly, so what can I do? I have to field the imperative stuff by parking the merely urgent.

Last night Furtle and I wandered off to The Griffin for the quiz as usual. We had just finished eating when Furtle noticed someone at the bar and passed me a note saying that a bloke at the bar looked just like keresaspa. I looked and it was indeed he.

I suppose in a city of over 8 million people, you are bound to bump into some one you know.

Anyway, he joined us for booze and quizzing and a good night was had by all. Well, I hope by all – Furtle and I enjoyed ourselves, though I did feel distinctly under qualified, being a mere graduate in the presence of two Phds…
