We have known for some time that the evil weed is bad for your health and with taxes and such, not so hot for your wallet, but this is ridiculous!

A man in the United States popped out to his local petrol station to buy a pack of cigarettes - only to find his card charged $23,148,855,308,184,500.

I particularly like the fact that the bank clerk wasn't entirely sure what to do or say about it. Still, he got his $15 over draft fee back.

Hopalong

Last night I managed to stub my toe while we were putting the laundry away. I’m not quite sure how I managed that, but there you go. After the initial squeal of pain, it subsided and that was that. When I went to bed, I was far more concerned about the dull ache in my Achilles tendons, which, perversely, seem fine this morning. My toe, however, is throbbing like billy-o. Not too badly in the great scheme of things, and not enough to make me limp when I walk, but certainly just enough in constancy and underlying discomfort to make me continually aware of it.

It is most distracting; in fact I may take a paracetamol just to stop me thinking about it. Clearly I sprained it a little more than I thought I had.
