Batten down the hatches

We made it to the station a few minutes earlier than usual this morning, meaning that we could stroll in a leisurely fashion along the platform and choose from the wealth of available seating on the 8.38. This almost never happens.

Arriving at Westminster, we were intrigued to see a pair of black Chinook helicopters circling Parliament and shortly after Furtle had wandered off to her office I realised that there was no signal reception on my iPhone. What, I wondered, did this betoken? Well, nothing, it seems. The choppers flew off and I walked around the corner and the signal came back. It was almost exciting, though.

I am off to play board games with friends in Marlow this weekend, leaving Jasper and Furtle alone in the Gin Palace.

It gives me the fear.
