Wartifer III

Can we say 'anticlimax' children? I think we can.

I spent much of the morning trying and for the most part succeeding in not working myself up into some overblown bate over my visit to the dermatology clinic to have them 'do things' to the wart on the side of my nose.

I blame my doctor; she used the words, 'scrape' and 'dig', which my imagination translated into 'gouge' and 'excavate' and added an entire Doctor Phibes motif to the affair.

I arrived 10 minutes early, sat down and managed to read barely a paragraph of my book before the Doctor called me in. He looked at the barely visible offender, declared it to be nothing out of the ordinary and zapped it with liquid nitrogen. He gave me a photocopied handout about warts and adjured me from prodding it so that nature can take its course. I was back on the street, texting Furtle 5 minutes before the putative time of my appointment and back here in the Carpathia less than an hour after I'd left, including waiting for the bus at both ends of the journey.

So now I have a blister on my neb and the warning that it will 'feel sore'.

*twiddles thumbs*

i've always found that expecting a thing to be far worse than it ends up being makes the potentially unbearable thing border on enjoyable.
glad things went well for you and hope you and furtle have a great weekend.

Neb ahhh, you remind me of the olde country when you use words like that.

That's where he's from, the old country. up there on the border of Wales look you. This has reminded me that there was a thing on the news tonight that Birmingham City council are to abolish the apostrophe. One more dumbing down of our language both written and spoken

Can I exchange my ingrown toenails (ouch, no, the deep injections!) for your unnoticeable warts?
