Hello Dreamwidth!

At the moment I'm not really in a position to set this account up just as I'd like. I shall do that later tonight at home, or over the weekend.

I intend this to replace my LiveJournal account, since repeated DDoS attacks over there are rendering LJ unusable. I will be setting up the cross post facility though, once LJ is alive enough for me to log on again. Once that is accomplished, I intend to update here most of the time, but allow you to read and participate from there!

At least that's the plan...

Awww, but isn't booting Lj kinda what the comrade hackers want? (if the rumours are to be believed. It *is* whacky enough) I think cyber war is quite exciting (until the first time I get my website hacked;) But like real war, giving in to terrorism is just not cricket. C'mon Mr. Caddy, take up the bat and stand firm, man!

I aitent planning to leave LJ, but I am planning, when the dust has settled, to do most of my posting via Dreamwidth, which will then cross post (most of the time) direct to LJ for me.

This post wot we are commenting against arrived via that means, so it does work at least while LJ's servers are functional. They weren't for the second post (ie next in line from this one) and I had to to cut and paste it in manually.

I kinda want to get my 10 years of blogging on LJ done and that's 18 months away yet. I've never stuck with a blog/journal so long before.
