Duvets and coffee

There has to be a better and easier way of changing a duvet cover than donning a safety helmet, miner's lamp, crampons and safety rope and then tunneling inside it dragging the duvet with you.

Still, it's done now, and no canaries died in the making of the bed.

Now I have to change my shirt. I dug out my England cricket shirt for the first time since last summer. I put it on, looked proudly in the mirror and splodged a great dollop of coffee down the front.

Bah.

It's fairly easy if you know the trick:

1. Turn cover inside out
2. Reach inside cover and grab the two corners furthest from the opening
3. Grab corresponding duvet corners through the cover
4. Shake vigorously, snap like a whip, wriggle it, dance around with it.

Voila!

It works for any size of duvet as well, and usually just requires a little bit of corner-arranging afterwards!

THat's the way I was going to suggest and indeed was just the way I have changed the old double duvet cover in my room. It is quite unweildy but satisfying and is very much easier with a single (saddo) duvet

I can reccommend standing on the bed in order to do the shaking to gain enough height too :)
