For the benefit of geeks everywhere, and for
mr_h_r_hughes
in particular, Heath Ledger is the
Joker
in the new Batman movie due out in 2008.

The Times gives Ben Afflek a very good write up in Hollywoodland and points out that as unbelievable as it seems the film drags when he's not in the scene.
