Use your archaeological imagination!

As I still haven't arranged TV reception in the Carpathia I am on the torrents again.

Based on a mere two reviews, by two LJ friends, [livejournal.com profile] failing_angel and [livejournal.com profile] pipsytip who do not know each other, I have decided to download the BBC's latest effort, Bonekickers. Indications are that it may well be transcendentally bad and consequently worth my time and bandwidth.

And of course, with [livejournal.com profile] ellefurtle here to be suitably appalled, it may just be the entertainment event of the week!

Then again it might be utter shite...

Yup, it was truly ridiculous, not offensively so, just very silly.

A little like Strange, but without the joy of Ian Richardson.

There were swords... and coats but somehow too ridiculous.

[livejournal.com profile] phil99 didn't have quite the violent reaction he has to primeval, but then again this show is supposed to be aimed at adults.

Its very predictable.

We <i<like</i> Primeval.

But in a carton of popcorn point and laugh sort of way.

Ah well he sat there po-faced for half of it. Whilst I just guffawed.

His scale of acceptable silliness is different to mine.

Like S**t from China - far fetched.

but even though I was in A&E waiting for my daughter to get plastered and was watching it silent with subtitles it was strangely compelling. "sink another trench" is one line that has remained with me ever since.

better than kindred the obscure or whatever it was
