Poor Kid

[livejournal.com profile] spasmsproject posted This link to a story on MSN:

3-year-old Hitler can't get name on cake

The father of 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, denied a birthday cake with the child's full name on it by one New Jersey supermarket, is asking for a little tolerance. Heath Campbell and his wife, Deborah, are upset not only with the decision made by the Greenwich ShopRite, but with an outpouring of angry Internet postings in response to a local newspaper article over the weekend on their flare-up over frosting.

Just in case you thought that the name, Adolf Hitler Campbell was a booboo by ill-educated parents, consider that young Adolf's little sister is called JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell .

I said that I though they were 'Special Parents'. [livejournal.com profile] spasmsproject corrected that to Clinically Special. I think she might be right.

That poor, poor child. Children, in fact.

The poor little darlings, my heart goes out to them and other equally poorly named children *sigh*

Still, denying a kid a birthday cake with his name on it seems a bit mean. This is a "sins of the fathers" thing.

Yeah, but then I guess if you make that sort of choice for your children you should also start learning how to ice your own cakes.

I'm normally not a great fortune teller, but I foresee playground violence and the possibility of changes of name by deed poll to come...
