Hancock's Half Hour

The Sun has found Atlantis on Google Earth: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2255989.ece

Last night Dr Charles Orser, curator of historical archaeology at New York State University — and one of the world’s leading authorities on Atlantis — called it “fascinating”.
He said: “The site is one of the most prominent places for the proposed location of Atlantis, as described by Plato. Even if it turns out to be geographical, this definitely deserves a closer look.”

The clincher for me, though was this quote: Bernie, 38, of Chester, said: "It looks like an aerial map of Milton Keynes. It must be man-made."

So that’s that, then. Plato was right all along.

Well they must have had the internet too then, I wonder if this would have all been sorted earlier if their emails hadn't timed out?

O Ryleh?

Sadly, this is all right angles and Plato, gawd less 'im, said it was all circular, so if this is Atlantis, it ain't Platonic.

Nor, given the right angles, can it be R'Lyeh, which, as any fule kno, is NON-EUCLIDEAN.
