I am supposed to be at the Oval watching England get humiliated by South Africa.

But since I didn't have to get up for work I naturally went to bed very late left the alarm off.

And now I find that some bright spark has turned the water off. I had just enough in the kettle to boil for coffee. There's not enough for a shower and I refuse to venture near the karsi on principle since having slept in in blissful ignorance my imagination is supplying all kinds of wrongfulness, extrapolating on the effects of a 5-6 strong Polish Brigade (tm) and nothing to flush with.

Oh Lord.

Since I shall be sitting outside this afternoon anyway, the shower isn't too much of a horror provided it's operating tonight, but really...

Batsman defends his wicket - the three bits of wood stuck in the ground behind him. Get the batsman out by any means and the wicket has fallen. So, take two wickets, you've dismissed two batsmen.
