Watched the first episode of Tru Callling tonight.
It stars Eliza Dushku, better known as Faith from Buffy The Vampire Slayer.She's a comely wench, 'tis true, but a TV series needs more than that.

Before that, I watched Angel, seaon 5 episode 5, Life of the Party. A nice idea that didn't quite have what it takes to fill out a full episode.
Still, although I'd already seen it, tonight's episode of SG-1, Lifeboat was very good. Michael Shanks acted his nuts off and, big softie me, managed a brief mioment of episodal goiter even though I knew how it resolved in advance.
