Thoughts on Ellen MacArthur's voyage

B&Q were the major sponsors of Ellen MacArthur...

To the B&Q customer services department:

Dear Sir/Madam

My congratulations to you on getting a yacht to leave the UK on 28th
November 2004, sail 27,354 miles around the world and arrive back 72
days later.

Could you please let me know when the kitchen I ordered 96 days ago will
be arriving from your warehouse 13 miles away?

Yours Faithfully,

The home stretch

Not back in the office now until Wednesday.

I have calculated that I shall have to get up one hour earlier to get into work late as I usually do. Hmm. Still, I won't have cable telly to distract me of an evening, and no broadband neither, initially. Chiz. But that will come. Hurrah!.

In the meantime, I'm going to have a smoke and then nip round to [livejournal.com profile] romney's as promised to make sure it is not a smoking hole in the ground. Then back to the bin bags, oh yes.

More later, perhaps.
