I like days like today.

The boss is out doing whatever bosses do on days off, and the lackey is out too, doing something appropriately Planchet-esque. This means that I am the branch today, and that's how I like it.

I can get stuff done at my own pace with fewer blithering interruptions and much less annoyance. We have a fair amount to do - it's still the busy period on the run up to Christmas, but having a bit of piece and quiet in the office doesn't half help.

I shall away now, and get on with some drafting, I think.
