I spent much of the afternoon feeling dozy in the office. Tonight I went to bed knowing that it was late but that I felt quite awake.
Well, I guess that's insomnia for you. It's just turned 2.50am and I have just made myself a mug of tea after lying awake for over an hour wondering whether I might be more comfortable breathing through my mouth as my nose annoyingly blocks when I lie down. Now I am up again, my eyes are beginning to feel tired. Hopefully that will spread to the rest of me shortly and I'll actually get a few hours sleep.
Earlier on I started putting together a playlist on my iPod for my forthcoming birthday bash. I think I shall have to start again, being a little more selective in what tracks I choose. I have over ten hours' of music on the playlist already and have only covered a fraction of the bands I wish to include. I think I might have to limit myself to no more than two tracks per band initially at least. For the record (as it were) I had already decided that with the exception of one version of 'Starless' (artiste yet to be decided), there will be no prog on the playlist, just plain simple rock, pop and blues with a little folk and easy listening tossed into the brew. Excluding 'Starless' no single track will be above five minutes long and the vast majority will come in around the three minute mark, so you need not fear the music selection too much if you like AOR. I don't intend to have any power ballads or other such abominations, either. If I find any that have crept onto the iPod, much less the playlist, they will be deleted.
Hmmm. 3.01am: still not overly sleepy.
