As yet unconfirmed reports on the BBC suggest that Libyan transitional forces have captured Colonel Gaddaffi. It is not yet known if he is alive or dead, but he does seem toi have been injured.
Time will tell, I suppose, whether or not things will turn out well in Libya, or whether events will move off down a predictable but unwelcome road. There are signs after the optimism, that Egypt's Arab Spring is turning rather wintry after all...
