Ptewie...

Gone seven pm and still in the office. Largely on account of it not being worth going home before coming back up into town for the quiz granted, but nonetheless.

I hope someone is taking notice of my solid attendence - I have actually been working up until about five minutes ago, so I am hoping for some brownie points. Other than that, absolutely nothing of interest has been happening to me for the past few days, and even I, who can normally fashion a post out of almost nothing, am feeling the strain.

I need to get out more.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm broke, I would go down the pub tomorrow night and watch the footie, but I reckon instead I'll just have to listen to it on the radio (Sky have all the England away internationals, and I'm not up for paying Mr Murdoch any more than I positively have to).

Hm. Seven fifteen pm, and still in the office.

I can't even get involved in the LARP meme that's going around, as I haven't played in anything for absolute ages. Too busy writing freeforms, see. Intellectual and all that, but...

What exactly are you spitting at?

I applaud your sterling attendance record. Sadly, since I'm not in a position to promote you or give you a raise, said applause is utterly useless. Here, have some more useless kudos.

Physically, I was spitting at a little plastic gonk on my colleague's desk. I thought that a good hiot might spin it into the wastepaper basket for three points.

Of course, staying in the office so long was the catalyst for this sporting endeavour.

Many thanks for the kudos. Once I get to five points of kudos I am entitled to a brownie point and ten of those gives me a Stalin AwardTM which, with £3.10 will buy me a latté grande at Starbuck's.

I hope you remembered to send the all important "look how late I'm here" email to someone of reasonable status the moment before you left?

I find ending it with "I estimate that the task will take little more than another hour to finish" works well. Especially if it's a task you already have finished.

Ah, the Mr Scott school of time assessment is as true in Ilford as it was on the Enterprise, I see....

And it would have, of course, "no effect on the game"

Indeed, though lack of same might constitute grounds for a challenge, depending upon respective regiments, of courtse.
