The approach of Yule...
Wednesday, December 15th, 2004 02:27 amToday Mrs. Z disappeared to Poland for a fortnight.
I am alone in the house with the Polish Brigade tm. So far they have been suspiciously quiet; maybe there are fewer of them around: I know at least one has been stranded in Blighty following the collapse of Polonia Airways, but the rest may be slowly disappearing for Christmas.
I have just watched the first disc of Lord of the Rings. Quite definitely worth having with the additional and extended scenes, none of which I've seen before. So, there's only five more discs to go, excluding the six discs of extras, (which probably won't ever get an airing, but since they don't sell the bloody thing without all the extras, what's a man to do?).
To bed, now.

Date: 2004-12-15 02:41 am (UTC)Thanks for all your kind posts over the last week or so, I've really appreciated them.
This is the last week of the semester so thing will eventually get better. yaa yaa yaa Then it all starts all over again next semester but... that is the excitement of working in a college library. I wouldn't have it any other way, even though I complain about it... A LOT!
Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you!

Date: 2004-12-15 10:49 am (UTC)At some point I probably will, but on the whole, I'd prefer to have been able to by the extended movies on a total of 6 discs without the extras, which even if I was intensely interested, would get maybe a single watching.
Waste of money, really.
