I am confused.

I went to bed very late, but seem to have managed to sleep through uninterrupted until my alarm went off at 7.30...

Well that's what is supposed to happen, but recently I have been waking up in the early hours and then dozing off again after about half an hour.

I think I'm awake. I hope so, this job is not the most exciting of dreams; you're not supposed to bored in your sleep...

Speaking of suspicious new fillings, how was your trip to the torturemaster? I gather they've unshackled at least one of your wrists from the dungeon wall, if you are able to type and post in LJ.

Actually, MOST of my dreams are boring. Writing a post on LJ would count as a highlight in the usual Paul dream. It's why I'm usually glad to wake up; waking life is far more promising.

I am here, and writing names in my little note-book.

Then chewing up the pages, filling my cheeks and scampering off to add the pulp to my nest-box in the depths of Clapham.

I googled myself, and the Romeny is a nocturnal and solitary sub-species cursed with a low breeding success rate. The Pest Control Database lists the Romney as "Bloody Annoying" with a threat level of "harmless, but step on it anyway."
