Ladies and Gentlemen, I find that I must inform you of the latest "must have" item identified by the Athenaeum Club. It must be possible to commission one from somewhere, or one supposes one could have the butler follow the methodology outlined.

Without further ado, let me introduce you to the Steampunk Keyboard.

I think you will agree, it is an absolute necessity for any lady or gentleman of refinement and taste.

Pip, pip!

This is very cool and buy a freaky coincidence I discovered this site yesterday on all things of a Steam Punk nature http://ccgi.firewyre.force9.co.uk/brassgoggles/

Some really beautiful items including this keyboard are featured

There is currently a thread on on the replica prop forum http://www.therpf.com/index.php?showtopic=119347&st=400 which seams to be focussing on props of a steam punk nature.

...and I have a Dr Who related prop in mind, if I can source a large number of brass cogs cheaply enough....

Oh so do I! Sadly I think it'll take a lottery win before I can afford to commission such an enterprise.

Heh,

interesting, you're the second person to put this up.

It does look like a thing of beauty,

I was going to try and decribe it for you, but it suddenly occurred to me that our favourite free reference guide may have something on it. It does, and has more detail than ever I could have managed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk
