A comment I read in the early days of GSM services in the UK: you see a guy in jeans talking to thin air, you assume he's care in the community. You see a guy in a suit doing the same, you assume he's got a mobile.
Another friend used to be disturbed by the way, if the phone rang while I was driving, I'd stiffen as I answered. He said it looked like I was being zapped by orbital mind control lasers...
