Ye Gods, but I’m tired today.

I didn’t sleep well last night; to begin with I kept waking with a start because I’d forgotten to breathe (that sometimes happens when I’m dozing off on my back, but rarely as last night when I am on my side). That happened two or three times.

Then I was woken by a nightmare at about 3.30. Happily I have no memory of what it was about. The upshot was that when my alarm went off at 7.30 this morning, I just wanted to slide back under the duvet and sleep for another three hours or so. Too much coffee on top of yet another Indian takeout, I fancy; tonight I shall have something a little plainer and go to bed a little earlier.

Today, I shall absorb coffee like it’s going out of fashion and trust that the odd activity in my peripheral vision are minor hallucinations manifesting through tiredness.

Failing that, I shall have new material for a horror story…

Muh hah haaaa

The stars were clearly aligned last night.

I normally sleep well. Your posting on last night could have reported the losuy night's sleep I had.

(apart from the 7.30 alarm - mine was 06:30, and I dozed and overslept until after 7!)

Ditto.

Awake at 0430. Couldn't get back to sleep for ages.

When I did I had a weird dream in which my littlest brother gave up his partnership in a software firm to become a biker and teacher and was distributing blank postcards with his address on to all and sundry to send to him from wherever they might happen to go.

Alarm at 0650 woke me with a start and I actually managed to catch the early train for once.

"to begin with I kept waking with a start because I’d forgotten to breathe "

Sleep Apnea (spelling?) When your brain forgets to keep reminding your body to carry on living. It is caused by obesity - mainly.

This cheering news is brought to you by the Ladkyis corporem manual of 1095

You shouldn't tell us fatties thast sort of thing! It's scary. I had been told once that it was the smoking - EVERYTHING including 3rd world debt and the decline of Rome is the fault of tobacco - but since I don't smoke no more...

My mate Robbie suffers from sleep apnea and he is not overweight at all. So much for that theory, then.
