Today, apparently, is Europe Day.

Woooo....

So why didn't we get a day off if it's so important....?

Grumble.

The future of military aviation.

Now this is what I'm talking about: Kill loads of people, but look good doing it.

Boeing Bird of Prey

The Boeing Bird of Prey

BUT

Does it have a cloaking device?

I wish I could think laterally at something useful.

Earning shiny shillings, for example.

But no, any lateral thoughts I have tend to bounce up at pointless moments and then disappear off into the realms of reverie.

So it was last night, chez [livejournal.com profile] romney. As is our wont on a Thursday evening, we were watching Buffy, Angel and Scrubs in turn on Sky. Being sad bastards, we were also downloading further episodes off the internet so we could stay well ahead of UK domestic viewing. (It is actually quite fun to spot Sky and Auntie's inexplicable edits).

Now, at the same time as downloading the season finale of Angel, [livejournal.com profile] romney, who likes his computers to live up to the 'multi' in multitasking, was playing MP3s, bidding on e-bay and burning a copy of Buffy on to CD.

And sometimes nomatter how much memory you have in a machine, it just ain't enough. And so there appeared the warning, 'Buffer under-run.'

And that was when my 'talent' if such it is (useless superpower, maybe), manifested itself again.

"What," I thought, "if Buffy was filmed in India, and she was from Madras, or somewhere?"

"By the many arms of Visnu, it is Bufferunderun the vampire slayer".

I need to lie down a bit now.
