Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
Thursday, July 3rd, 2003 12:05 pmFailing to get my blood pressure under control, Our Hero (tm) took to the Arts pages of the newspaper, staying well clear of actual hard news.
There is a review of the movie in today's Times.
Undurprisingly, for such an august organ as the Thunderer, a piece of Hollywood pap like Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle rates but 2 stars from a possible 5.
But there are some wonderful quotes: "...all too often the sex-laughs-action formula is pushed so hard that it’s a bit like standing in a wind tunnel full of guns and Wonderbras."
And describing Cameron Diaz as "grinning like a Playboy bunny-boiler."
This is all reported as if it were a bad thing.
Remarkable.
