Sunday, August 24th, 2003 11:20 pmWell, it's the bank holiday weekend one day before payday and Saturday morning comes the letter from the bank telling ne I've exceeded my overdraft limit.
Fabulous.
There should be a law that says paydays must ALWAYS precede bank holidays. The only time you can bank (hah) on that happening is the early May bank holiday. Annoyingly I can do something about it quite easily. On Tuesday morning.
Grumble.
Never mind. I'd only spend it.
It's been a lazy weekend which is why I can't work out why I'm so tired - I've done NOTHING and I counted that at least twice to be sure. I dozed for a couple of hours and I'm quite chipper now. Of course, it's gone 11pm.
This afternoon met up with an initially bemused
pax_draconis, but after a pint and about an hour's worth of NWO plottage he was back on form again. Heh. Thereafter we disappeared up to the Cafe Sol on Clapham High Street and met up with
nyarbaggytep, Rob sans LJ and Baggy's bro also named Rob, also sans LJ.
Fabulous Mexican burgers - Mr Pax going for a chilli concoction which caused quite remarkable eye-bogglage on consumption. I understand that the side order of beans might have been a mistake since an hour's trip back to Whetstone on the Tube was required followed by a car back to Brummagem in the company of the aforementioned Baggy and Rob.
My heart goes out to them - there is not enough ventilation in an open field when Mexican beans take hold...
Oh well. Good to see the folks for an all too brief time.
Time to retire from journalage for an hour or two to natter with a persistent beggar on Messenger.
