Well, I'm off shortly; no intarwebbage until 18th now, unless I can get my hands on my sister's pooter at some point.

The plan to take the borrowed laptop away with me has foundered on the simple problem of not being able to unearth the power cable. In any case, there's no phone line to be had. In Tywyn, even the mobile doesn't work unless I stand on one leg facing out to sea trying to get a signal from across the bay in Aberystwyth.

O2 just don't cut it in that part of Wales.

Having said that, I shall have my spare mobile with me, the vodafone pay-as-you-go, so I will be contactable. Not that I'm expecting anyone to contact me. Fickle lot, my friends. Very few people have the alternative number.
