Well, I'm back in Wem overnight before trekking back down to London tomorrow.

I have spent a great deal of time this afternoon trying to work out precisely what my brother-in-law did to this PC to make it shy away from connecting to the intarweb via a perfectly good broadband connection (It's wasted on him and my sister, you know). I still don't know what he did, but I had to reinstall the software from the floor up, but anyhoo, it's working now.

Mid October is probably not the time time to spend 5 days or so at the coast at these latitudes and in a caravan, to boot! (That would be a trailer to my North American readers). In th great scheme of things, the wind that howled in off Cardigan Bay would make such worthies as [livejournal.com profile] crazedgiggles, who lives on Hurricane Alley, laugh, but when it brings rain and hail with it - some of the hail as particularly impressive sized cubes, well... On Thursday, the sea had been whipped into a fair old frenzy, and from a standing start, too. There was enough foam building up on the beach and blowing inland to suggest that a shipment of Proctor and Gambles finest soap powder had gone down with all hands during the night. Hmm... soft-handed zombies with a lemony freshness...

Anyway, a proper update tomorrow, methinks, once I get back to <London and don't get interrupted every ten keystrokes.
