Stolen form many and diverse LJ correspondents:

What song got mangled by the Google translator?

The length and the road of reel which which your door led,
never disappears,
me saw that the road,
before it does not lead me always here,
led me to your door.
The wild night and windige washed far the rain,
left a puddle pool of the tears which cry for the day.
It is so why holidays me to be here,
knew only leave me a manner much of mark me of being had had and much of mark I do not have
you will cry in one way or another never knew
much in manner me of having to test,
but still they lead return to a long time me and roll up the road you me a long time,
a long time a time does not make await on the left me here here,
leads there,
there,
there,
there me you with the door --

Lenten is come with loue to toune,
With blosmen and with briddes roune
That al this blisse bryngeth.
Dayeseyes in this dales,
Notes suete of nyhtegales,
Vch foul song syngeth.
The threstelcoc him threteth oo.
Away is huere wynter woo
When woderoue springeth.
This foules syngeth ferly fele
Ant wlyteth on huere wynter wele
That al the wode ryngeth.

It's all been a rehearsal up until today. No matter what it says on the calendar, it isn't ready until it's ready; nature won't be rushed by anything as mundane as the printed word, or the say so of mankind's timetable.

And today, it is ready, thank you very much.

The balance has tipped. The buds are open a little bit more than they were; the balance of leaf to twig has shifted in favour of the former. The blossom is fuller and fully bright, the flowers open and pointing at the sun, and in profusion. The sun is out, a little stronger, but not over powering. The shy is blue and the breeze light and fresh. Trip worker bees are out and about getting the first shopping of the year for the hive, and the world is a brighter, fresher green than it was yesterday.

One day every year this happens: the world is suddenly and noticeably greener, fresher and more vibrant.

Forget your calendars. Nature is ready, and it's putting on its show.

Today it is Spring.

This morning I was feeling 'rejuvenated' - that being the word I picked out of the list on LJ, as it seemed to sum it all up pretty well.

Now, several hours on, I just feel knackered. I'm bored, and it's hot here, and I just want to doze off. I must start getting to bed earlier than I actually do. Five and a half hours sleep is not enough - and that's assuming that I doze off straight away, and don't wake up during the night. My fault, I know, but old habits die hard.

God, it's only just turned 3.00 as I type this - I'm sure my watch is going backwards. Since just before lunch, it has felt an hour later than it actually is; I wondered why there was such a good selection in the sandwich shop.

As it is comparatively quiet, I have the earphones on, and am listening to music, which helps - provided it doesn't serve me too much sixties' Motown in one go, and lull me to sleep at my desk (yes, I like Motown - it ain't all prog rock, you know - though when I was 16 it was a closely guarded secret).

Just to pass the time, here is the ten i-tunes on shuffle meme resurrected and regurgitated, which will consume more time, especially as the first to pop up is:

1 Providence - King Crimson (from Red);
2 Feelin' Bad - Spooky Tooth (from the retrospective, That Was Only Yesterday);
3 Hold Your Head High - Jackie de Shannon (from the Best of Jackie de Shannon);
4 Walls (No.9) - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (from She's The One);
5 Good Behaviour - The Little Ladies (from Rock Follies OST);

[A twenty minute gap then ensued - if gaps can ensue - here, while I talked to the boss and tried -successfully, I think - to pretend that I was working.

And now, back to the list:
]

6 Happy Home - Garbage (from Bleed Like Me);
7 I'm Mandy, Fly Me - 10cc (from How Dare You!);
8 Forever Autumn - The Moody Blues* (from Best of the Moody Blues);
9 2-4-6-8 Motorway - Tom Robinson Band (from The Sound of the Suburbs);
10 Fix Me Now - Garbage (from Garbage).

And now I've just discovered that I have enough (very crumbly) baccy for one last rollie… Fan-frikken-tastic.
