romney, I am now up to date with season 9 of Stargate SG-1 and season 2 of Stargate: Atlantis.
Don't worry, no spoilers here, save to note that Atlantis seems to be carrying on from where it left off, though the addition of Mitch Pileggi playing a recurring, though not starring character is nice. You rarely get a bad turn from him.
Too early to say how season 9 of SG-1 is going to pan out. The group dynamics are somewhat changed by the cast changes, though Ben Browder's Lt Col. Cameron Mitchell is yet to show himself to be greatly different from Rick Anderson's Jack O'Neil - who is now a recurring rather than a starring character. Claudia Black is as good as ever, though with Browder and her, it is unsurprising that the series has been dubbed Farscape SG-1 by the wags. There is a nice three-way chemistry building between her character, Daniel Jackson and Lt Col. Mitchell. Be interesting to see how that plays out.
Next week I am hoping to purchase and install a nice new 200gig hard drive for this here bucket o'binaries, and then I shall have the free space to download these bit torrents for myself without sacrificing my extensiveporn collection data files.
