invisible_al for the tip on speeding up torrents.
By kicking open a couple of additional ports on the router, and wedging them open with old shoes, I now have a torrent coming down at between 35 and 60 kB/s. Prior to this, 25 kB/s spread across 3 torrents was to be considered exceptional.
Hurrah.
Edit: Harrumph. After an evening's gaming, I return to find it still downloading but now at a stately 8.4 kB/s, and yet at one point I know it topped 120...
