Well, it's August Bank Holiday Monday, and I am strangely lacking in all motivation to do anything, though I daresay that I shall rally a little later, and actually do something.

In a couple of hours from now, Glyn sans LJ will be arriving with additional memory for the PC, and a very long network cableTM, which hopefully will allow me to move the PC from its current location to the other wall, where the sun won't glare on the monitor in the early morning. Of course, if I had curtains in the computer room, it would help, wouldn't it? I may investigate that possibility as well, but not today.

I am toying with the idea of shifting my hi-fi around in my bedroom, and attaching the speakers to the walls instead of perching them on CD racks as now. Again, I'm not sure that I have enough cable for the right hand speaker - not an insurmountable problem - so that might have to wait. At the moment, I have the speakers arranged to the left of my bed, and though well spaced out, when I am doing the sloth thing the left speaker dominates since that is nearest to the old lugholes. I reckon that by moving it all to the far side of the room, and having one speaker each side of the room, and at the foot of the bed to beet, I shall be able to achieve a decent stereo separation. The other possibility is to simply shift the entire kit and caboodle into the computer room, where I spend most of my time when awake, and do as I did back in the Clapham era, and listen to music from the hifi while hacking away at the PC, instead of either using the PC or the radio.

The beauty of using the PC is that I can put MP3s on random play and not worry about selecting music for hours. The downside is that the music reproduction quality isn't as high as when I use the hifi. Maybe the acquisition of an armchair and reading lamp for the bedroom is the answer, then I could sit there, read books and listen to ze musick...?

Decisions, decisions.

Right now, though, I think I may just ignore the entire thing, and hack out a few paragraphs for NWO instead...
