I have just this morning taken delivery of Stargate SG-1 season 8 on DVD. I do like it when Play.com send stuff out just ahead of the official release date; for just under 48 hours there is always the slim chance that the release date will be put back and I will have my hands on an exclusive copy. It never happens, of course, but the possibility exists. Just. At least this time the Royal Mail delivered it to our door1, even if it was at you're taking the piss o'clock this morning, meaning that when I woke up I realised that I would have to walk the er... 150 or so yards around the corner to the local despatch centre. Life is hard.

This afternoon I shall be mainly engaged in NWO writing. Although I am quite enjoying the current character, I feel the need to faff around for another hour or so before beginning. It gives me the illusion of free time, and I do so like to lounge around. That said, I must do something as I am out on the razz tonight with various people sans LJ and tomorrow ex-pat par excellence and ex-housemate, [livejournal.com profile] drjohnsilence is in town for a short time, which means the inevitable trip back to Clapham (I swear that place exerts some kind of gravitational pull on me; I may orbit further from it as time goes by, but I never seem quite able to reach escape velocity).

Oh well, off to piddle about awhiles and then back to the keyboard. [livejournal.com profile] ellistar, I expect a bribe of some sort, otherwise this afternoon's writing will be nasty and vicious. Oh sod it, it will be anyway, muh hah haaaa....

And Ziggy Played Guitar...

1Those of you with better memories and nothing else to divert you may remember the pantomime I had around this time last year trying to take delivery of season 7...
