Did you ever wonder what might have happened if Stan Lee had scripted Alan Moore's Watchmen?

Somebody did!

Read and weep!

On Monday we had our first games night for a couple of weeks. It was curry night too.

As usual, I managed to over order slightly and ended up at the end of the night with uneaten onion bhajias and some sauce. Never mind, thought I, I'll polish them off tomorrow (Tuesday). So I did and though cold they were very toothsome. They were also not enough on their own, so I scarfed down the three crumpets I had hiding in my cupboard and a couple of digestive biccies.

The calorie count could conceivably been lower, I guess. That wasn't what worried me, however.

In the past 12-15 hours I have made a noticeable contribution to global warming and I pin much of the blame on those onion bhajias. I mean, cor, phew....

Lucky I'm still off the ciggies: there could have been a quite unfortunate explosion...

Fisherman's Friend Cherry Menthol Lozenges are a little bit disappointing. I mean, they taste of cherry and all, but the menthol is low key and there's none of that knock-the-top-off-your-head power that screams Fisherman's Friend at you.

Ah well, could be worse.

Day three continues apace. I am supposed to be going for a pint after work with the GASPs crew. I don't really want to; not quite three days in and BEER is a sure fire way of tempting me back on to the paths of wrongtiousness. It's done it before. I shall go along for a half hour, have a pint and come away. Proper boozing will have to wait against the day I don't spend time consciously not smoking.

I am still awaiting my first proper fall of soot. It hasn't happened yet and the longer it takes, the bigger it is likely to be. That'll be interesting. I have the start of a cough, but nothing too annoying yet.

I still can't work out if I am all hot and sweaty because of the general temperature or because of my general temperature...
