Sunday, October 1st, 2006 12:12 amI was going to settle down early for a good night's kip, but I have had to log back on and record this while I remember it.
The reason is the semi-sleeping brain of
ellefurtle, which once again has provide chucklesome entertainment. Now, as she dozes peacefully, dreaming of who knows what, I can only hope that the quest she started upon whilst falling asleep continues.
As I got into bed, I was informed that she couldn't see why it was OK to "cook peppers like that, but not mushrooms. It isn't unethical", she continued, "because mushrooms aren't alive."
I pondered the import of this intelligence for a few seconds before being told in all earnestness and with a firm nod of the head, that "I don't understand people who insist on treating mushrooms like human beings".
Indeed, I thought. Who am I to argue?
My reverie was broken by the request that I "stop pushing bottle corks into my ear."
So here I am, writing on LJ instead of sleeping. I shall now return to bed and try to remedy this...
