We are supposed to be getting our broadband speed upgraded as part of the deal with Plus.net. We were told that there would be some disruption for about ten days during which there would be intermittent connection loss and speed variation before the set up settled down.
Well, I can't say that I know what we have at the moment. If I connect directly to Plus.net's servers, I get a reported 10meg connection (from them), which I know is wrong simply by the length of time all other sites take to download. Alternative speed tests suggest that I have an exceptionally fast 2 meg connection or a painfully slow 4 meg connection(ie it clocks around 2.5meg).
I guess I'll leave it a little longer before contacting them, but it is very confusing; it should have been sorted out ages ago.
I blame British Telecom.
